I went to the VOX website and looked at the AC-30 that Jeremy uses and
noticed that it three channels. I've played around on one before and noticed
that the channels have volume but not a seperate gain knob. That would
make it really hard to get a good distorted sound without using a seperate
peddal to give it that extra gain. So my guess is that he is having to use
a seperate peddal. (like the Ibanez Tube Screamer)
Couldn't tell you much about the matchless except that the one Dan Uses is
supposedly modled after the AC-30 that Jeremy uses.
Your right Matthew. Neither of those ams sound as ballsy as a Marshall or an
Ampeg when distorted. But I do guarantee that The AC-30, which surprisingly
enough is only a 30 watt amp, will stomp a mudhole it the ass of most higher
watt Marshall twins in terms of clarity with high volume. They sound great
overdriven too:) I want one
