I dunno about all you, but I'm 25 years old and have lived my growing up years through the 80s. durring that time I have seen the likes of Rock n'roll into heavy metal into glam metal. I have seen intro to Rap, intro to grundge, and the very blessed Sunny Day. Over these past few deckaded of musical development and growth I am very confused with the new reinstatement of 80s glam metal bands. just a few weeks ago I was walking past a local high school where the kids were very happy to be released from their school work into summer vacation, I saw a beat up ford escort drive by with AC/DC blaring out the windows, "weird" I thought to myself, but what was even weirder to me was the fack that all 8 people crammed into the car knew ALL THE WORDS!!! Then, another incident, I saw a young man pull up to McDonald's with 'Rocket' From Def Leppard screeming out the windows. What's up with that, I mean this is prime 'pour some suggar on me' days. And just yesterday, on a long trip around the mall, the local skater store had none other than our old (very old) pal Bon Jovi singing 80s crappola pumpin' out the store into the mall. OK, is there something going on that I don't get?? I know that the very perfect way to get kids not to like a certain type of music is for the parents to like it also, is this the case??? A half a year ago Motley Crue played in Vancouver, I was very amused after when I read the concert revue in the Georga Straight (the local paper who gave Sunny Day a great thumbs up) and they just mocked them for all it was worth, saying that these guys were so old and couldn't hack out any of the garbage known of yester year. now, they are comming back (a short 6 months later) and are playing to a packed croud of fan teenagers??? I don't get it. Please tell me that our old obnoxious tight jean wearing pals are NOT comming back. Over. DonnyZ _____________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
