hello,
I was thinking about the whole idea of emo being big right now....and ya it
is very possable. The one thing that worries me is that some band that jsut
sounds like every other radio clone will come out with album and slap the
words emo on it. Kind of what No Doubt's Tragic Kingdom (which is not a ska
album) did for ska. All the people who had listend to ska before this
incident was kind of stund by the people wearing two-tone No Doubt shirts.
Lets hope this dosent come us, a whole bunck of people watching all the
people wearing the new emo style and telling everyone how they listend to emo
first (even if they are meaning Third Eye Blind).
I think it would be awsome if emo stepped into the spot light! But only
if it comes from a true emo band....like SDR!!! not some radio clone that
claimes to be emo. The mainb reason I want emo to become big is that I have
found Big equals better production, more albums, and more shows. Besides I am
sick and tired of trying to explaining to everyone who ask me what type of
music I listen to what emo is.
