i cannot for the life of me believe that SDRE cannot keep bassists. what's
going on? you'd think they'd be able to keep SOMEONE. the situation is
exceptional. it's not like sunny day's songs require root-note-only
basslines. that lets the creative freedom issue be solved for everyone
(except D'arcy, who had the most free ride ever with the pumpkins). the
issue with jeff was apparently over money, but you have to assume that since
sub-pop (sdre's then label) doesn't have any money to start with, that the
evil green stuff couldn't even be remotely taken into consideration. i'd
play with them for free. i'm sure i'm not alone on this. can anyone explain
what's going on? do they miss nate that bad?
