this was truly put. why bother blowing sunshine up the
ass of a list that can hardly agree most of the time.
the only reason we agree at all is because if we don't
then our posts don't get through.
for me sunny day doesn't mean love. it means music
with a half ounce of staying power. that's all. i
don't even understand the lyrics. i skip over most of
your posts that are about lyrical interpretation.
mostly because it ruins my sunny day experience. sunny
day for me is starting to conjur up images of baggy
clothes wearin highschool kids who go to emo shows and
mope, because idunno, maybe it's just not emo enough
for you guys. whatever. nothing worse than watching a
band with a bunch of moody crybabies.
there are two kinds of sunny day fans. the ones that
thought diary was cool and pinky too. then were
disappointed because the new record was only
"mediocre" to quote myself!!! and the kind who want so
hard to feel some connection with some band that will
probably never save them. hif..then the live album.
they keep getting worse. the proof is really in the
pudding. rotfq was really the last great effort to
date. and to quote sebastian lippa covering a randy
bachman song, "yer only good as yer last record" i
remember listening to friday real loud in my friend's
van and laughing my as off because of the jumbled mess
the lyrics became.
there is no love from me. just mild adoration. some of
you guys are real cool. some of you are really
pretentious. sorry, that's never been what sunny day
was about for me.
and you can quote me.
