Hmm... w/all regards, Phil; i suppose i differ w/your differing opinion.
While you make valid points of Sunny Day's evolution, to which i agree
wholeheartedly, it is one thing to appreciate a cd, & quite another to enjoy
listening to it! Put simply, HIFTBSO was a musical accomplishment in one
respect, but a disappointment in others. While i believe it is the most
vocally accomplished SDRE album to date and showcases Jeremy's range of both
of emoting & tone very well, it is also the album which i enjoyed listening
to the least. For me, it is a record of "moments" in which there are very
good sections and likewise, those that are... well, not as good in the
respect of pure enjoyability, but certainly not appreciation. While it's
definitely their most complicated release, it is definitely not one that i
would tell a friend to buy if they had not heard Sunny Day. Still, much
respect for your opinion & feel free to debate; after all, that's what this
is all about, right?
