This is my first time posting, so I hope I've
got the procedure right.
Anyway (I hope that my concerns, if shared by
enough people in some form or fashion, will reach someone close to the band), I
fear that having Jeremy play bass on the album could be a very baaaaad idea. Not
to knock Jeremy, he's an excellent musician, lyricist and a creative genius.
However, he is neither God nor Luke Skywalker, and, in order to play bass worthy
of Nate Mendel's legacy, it would take the Force of Devine Intervention. I mean,
he is a young man, and there is no way he could be equally proficient
considering the many instruments he has worked with. Though HIFTBSO was a great
album, the basslines took a step down. PLEASE do not let them drop any
further.
