about hif's bass "taking a step down," i think pillars has one of the best
bass lines ever. and really, its the emotion that comes through the music,
not the sheer virtuosity of any musician, especially the bass player. i've
been blown away by songs on which the bass is simply playing the root note,
and i've even been floored by some of jeremy's solo stuff that is completely
bass-less. i don't think the fate of the free world, or even the new album,
rests on who is playing bass, but more on who's been writing the songs. and
i think we all know we're in good hands on that point. who is better than
jeremy? nadie...
