enough of this drivel. everyone knows that pitchforkmedia has their noses so far in the
air that they can't even smell their own stink.
sure, The Rising Tide is polished (for the record, I like it that way), but how can you
listen to songs like Rain Song, The Ocean, Tearing in My Heart, Faces in Disguise and
not
think that this is an intimate record!?!
The comparisons to Yes and Rush are way off - more like The Police and U2 with a dash
of
the old Sunny Day for good measure.
If they broke up again for good after this -The Rising Tide is the record that Sunny
Day
should be remembered for. Fortunately, I believe that the next one will be the
masterpiece, and everyone will look back on this record and say 'wow, we could see it
coming all
along.'
