You people take everything WAY too personally. Don't go insulting the
reviewer just because he has a different opinion than you. Brent DiCrescenzo
is THE best reviewer on pitchfork media and always writes entertaining or
interesting reviews. I'm sure he's taken enough crap fro the recent Sonic
Youth reviews he did, he dosen't need a bunch of hypersensitive SDRE junkies
jumping down his throat. Personally I think that The Rising Tide is the best
album I've ever heard (It even beats Pink Floyd's The Wall, Nirvana's
Nevermind, Sonic Youth's Daydream Nation and My Bloody Valentine's
Loveless), however, as a journalist myself and a RESPECTABLE HUMAN BEING, I
would NEVER insult a person's journalistic integrity just because he didn't
give a positive review on something. I can agree that most indie zines are
prejudiced toward anything complex and with good production quality, but
Godspeed You Black Emperor's Slow Riot EP got rave reviews from them. I
think the people with their noses stuck high in the air would be those of
you who trashed the reviewer. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
