Jeremy used an SG and Dan used a Les Paul. A good amp would be a Marshall
tube or even a good solid state. They apperantly got most of their
distortion by using volume pedals to boost the pre-gain on their signal,
however they also used Ibanez tube screamers. Be very careful when doing
this though. Running a tube screamer or comprable overdrive pedal through a
clean solid-state amp will not give you thick enough distortion to get the
job done. I get great emo-core distortion by using a E-H Big Muff Pi and a
Boss SD-1 (alternately or together) and running into a VERY clean Roland
