I've actually been trying to think of this from Nate's perspective. Maybe in
his mind, the band was done, over with, finished, finito, etc. WHy try to
recapture the youthful energy and excitement they had, just let the band be,
keep it how it was, let their two albums be a nice representation of how to
make melodic, energetic, but intelligent music, and provide a blueprint for
future bands. I still think it was a dumb idea for the band to keep the
name, because with a band like that, where the members have a certain
chemistry together and are obviously doing something right, it'll never be
the same. Plus, we wouldn't have to hear Jeremy and Dan bitch about playing
the old songs.
