Got a got today from a recruiter I spoke with a few months ago. A big project in the City of Industry was starting and after a couple weeks it could done by telecommute (my brother lives nearby, which made it feasible for me). Then the project was put on hold. Now it's on again, but I'm busy with my own clients, so I'm posting it in case anyone's interested. We didn't get as far as talking about rate, at least it's not in my notes. They did send me a short test, mostly about creating tests. I passed, or at least I was not rejected. If I can do it, anyone can.
Apparently, they're still deciding whether to go all Rails, all PHP, or a mix of both. Would be real tough to find 10 Rails contractors on short notice, I would think.
