I used Slingshot back when it was brand new, but support of it has been non-existent. With HTML5 making a big splash recently, I agree with Jarin that it will be the future. However, its brand spanking new, so documentation may be lacking. If you do figure it out, you should totally give a talk on it to SDRuby... I know I'd be interested in hearing more about.
