Well, Eclipse is worth a shot. It's big and heavy and Java, but it has a similar (bigger and heavier) file browser and can support Ruby. There are a couple of tutorials out there for editing Ruby with Eclipse, which also suggest that there's a bit of a community of ruby devs using Eclipse growing.
I haven't used those other editors you mentioned. I've been using Eclipse for Java development at work for a few years now and it's pretty decent. I usually edit in both Eclipse and TextMate side by side here at work.Nick Zadrozny
