I'm intrigued, as OCaml seems to do surprisingly well on the [Shootout][1]. To keep it a little Ruby'ish, maybe show us how it differs, better features, worse features, etc.?
OK, Jan 5, intro to evolutionary computation and stuff about DRP. Comparisons between Ruby and OCaml, sample EC code in OCaml. I could talk for over an hour on OCaml or particular evolutionary computation/swarm intelligence algorithms alone, but I'll try to pack all this into 20 minutes. I think D is pretty neat, it probably has better floating point performance than OCaml, but I'm just tired of C-like syntax and type declarations.
