A look at an off-the-wall story off the Web

"Experts: Birds are imitating cell phones"
Just imagine walking under a tree - you think you hear your cell
phone ring - but there's no call at all. It's the call of the wild. A
bird expert in Australia says his country's so-called "mimic birds"
are now parroting the sounds of cell phone rings. Mostly the males do
it; they're showing off to potential mates and telling other birds
"this is my territory." Apparently they're also saying, "Hey babe,
Nokia makes it ring, but I make it sing."
