Even though analysts say that the move by Microsoft won't have much of an impact, Sun is taking out full-page ads in The New York Times, San Jose Mercury News and The Wall Street Journal encouraging users "to demand that Microsoft include the Java platform in their XP operating system." Further, the report says XP users will have no trouble downloading alternative JVMs for the platform. It seems the Yorkshire Evening Post in the north of England ran a story on its Web site announcing "the mother of a queen and the last Empress of India" had died.
