RED HAT TO PUT LINUX ON IBM SERVERS | News: CW360

Linux operating system available for three more models in IBM's
eServer line -- the zSeries, iSeries and pSeries. Red Hat's CFO
predicts IBM will push the Linux-based hardware to customers
replacing Unix systems and those running Sun's Solaris.

THE MISSING LINK | IBM gets $100,000 fine for "Peace, Love and Linux"
campaign

San Francisco is taking IBM to the cleaners. Remember all the
"penguin droppings" Big Blue left earlier this year in its "Peace,
Love and Linux" campaign? The company's ad firm sullied San Fran with
corporate graffiti -- the Linux mascot, a peace sign and a heart
spray-painted on streets and sidewalks across the city. Well, now
it's time to pay the piper, or in this case, the street cleaner. IBM
will pay the City by the Bay about $120,000 for using public property
as its own personal (and free) billboard. City officials say some of
those "ads" will never come out.
