STARTING A REXX FUNCTION FROM A WEB APPLICATION | Ask the Expert

Dear Ask the Expert,
How can I start a REXX function from a Web application? (The
environment: the user has a WinNT client, starts a request to our
UNIX server; the server ships the data for a web-page, but this
web-page needs data also form a host (OS/390 client). This data will
be created by REXX on that host).

SEARCH390 DISCUSSION FORUM | Operating Systems

Search390 user WLMINIT has posted this question in our OS forum: "I
work in a Portuguese bank using TME10 OPC to control batch work. We
have a production paralell sysplex with six images, four of them
running batch jobs,we use scheduling environments and WLM managed
initiators for almost all job classes. The problem is that apparently
the batch workload is concentrated on the image where we have more
cpu resources, although there is a lot of CPU available on the other
three images.

THE MISSING LINK | Work time is prime time for job hunting

Looking for a job? A survey in Europe shows most employees search for
a new job ON the job. The hottest times to hunt? Between 10.00am and
3.30pm -- the meat of the workday. Did it really take a year-long
survey to figure this out? Also, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are
not popular job hunting days. And, the French are the least likely to
look while on the clock -- most of them hit the classifieds between
5:00am and 7:00am. Working on a new job is easier than ever these
days since everybody's got connections -- Internet connections.
