HARD TIMES, STRANGE BEDFELLOWS: MAKING SENSE OF MERGERS | News:
searchStorage
A slumping economy sure makes for strange bedfellows. There have been
so many mergers, acquisitions and partnerships made this year, how
does the average Joe make sense of it all? According to analysts, you
can start by filtering out the deals that matter from the deals that
don't.

U.S. spending on information technology in 2001 fell more than
researchers expected and the rebound in 2002 will be disappointing,

IDENTIFYING ENCLAVES | Ask the Expert

Dear Ask the Expert,
Is there a better way to identify workloads using enclaves than using
RMFIII option 1.5 and hopefully catching work in the SYSOTHER service
class? Today I dumped all the RMF72GO (MXG) and looked for a service
class of SYSOTHER. I know I have unclassified enclaves because
SYSOTHER is the default service class. Is there a better way?

THE MISSING LINK | California's Silicon Valley a leader in pot

Silicon Valley: The place is going to pot, and it has nothing to do
with the dot-com carnage. Silicon Valley is "Weed Central." Santa
Clara County, which includes the valley, had more pot plants seized
than any other California county but one. Could developers be so
stressed over software that they're toking up in droves? You can roll
your own conclusion.
