I need an opinion/advice and recommendation regarding the VSAM files (KSDS,ESDS...etc) processing for 24x7 (near to 24hours and 7 days a week processing in term of programming languages to use, VSAM files design, ..etc). We came accross a problem: PL/I programms sending maps send along some characters that don't belong to them and programms stop. We tried to solve the problem by creating an Application Specific Run-Time Options Module using members CEEUOPT and CEEWUOPT from LE library CEE.SCEESAMP (modifying STORAGE = (NONE,NONE,NONE,8K) to STORAGE = (00,00,00,8K))and then puting our user library before CEE.SCEERUN library in the STEPLIB concatenation of the CICS job but it didn't help. Can anyone help by suggesting what are possible causes of this error? Think you know what is causing dkuzma's problem? If so, please share your thought and suggestions.
