CAN QSAM HANDLE PUT IN Z/OS FOR RECORD IN 64-BIT STORAGE? | by Mark
Zelden

Dear Ask the Expert,
Under z/OS, has QSAM been updated so I can do GET/PUT and have the
actual record address reside in 64-bit storage? In other words, if I
want to do a PUT, and the record resides in 64-bit storage, can QSAM
handle that?

HOW TO STRIP THE END OF AN ASCII FILE MARKER? | by Jim Keohane

Dear Ask the Expert,
Is there any way to strip out the end of file marker of an ASCII file
while using FTP to get the file from a PC to a mainframe? The EOF
marker is preceded by the carriage return and line feed (0D 0A) and
is a hex 1A. The 0D0A's strip out fine during the ASCII transfer
type, but the EOF remains.
