IBM'S SANFORD SEES STORAGE NIRVANA | News: SearchStorage
IBM's storage chief Linda Sanford said she has seen the future of
storage and it includes products that take care of themselves.
Sanford indicated that IBM would be announcing new products "soon"
that allow customers to benefit from some autonomic storage
technologies -- she just couldn't predict when.

Dear Ask the Expert,
I am responsible for DB2 system performance and tuning. Several
performance reports are produced monthly using CA tools. Is there a
book or a site to help interpret those results? For example, are
there any ratios that we should calculate to pinpoint if our
performance is getting better or worse? I found several books on
tuning, but I was unable to find anything on reading and
extrapolating results based on the statistics gathered.

THE MISSING LINK | Electrolux introduces talking washing machine
Get a load of this! Electrolux is putting a new spin on cleaning
clothes. It's introduced what it claims is the world's first talking
washing machine. Available only in India, the Washy Talky steps in
when common sense doesn't quite wash. It spits out commands like
"drop detergent, close lid and relax." Will it wash with Indian
consumers? Electrolux was apparently awash in demand for the
technology and expects to really clean up.
