NEED HELP WEB-ENABLING A MAINFRAME VSAM FILE? | by Jim Keohane
Dear Ask the Expert,
We are trying to provide Web access to a VSAM file residing in a
mainframe computer. Which is the best approach? Is it possible to use
a servlet to access the VSAM file making use of JRIO?
Currently, we are using CICS to update this VSAM file. We want to
provide a browser-based front end client that will update the VSAM
file. Is it possible to Web-enable this VSAM file without
compromising the response time?
