In case of a deadlock, I want to roll back and retry the transaction. After a certain specified number of tries, I would send the error message to screen. So if the deadlock gets resolved within the specified iterations, no error would be visible to the user. Any clues on how to achieve this with minimum efforts?" Think you know the answer? Microsoft's upcoming Licensing 6.0 program? Bill Gates' wardrobe before he got rich? Actually those words were directed at an Xbox commercial in the U.K. Microsoft yanked it after receiving 136 complaints after it hit the airwaves. Why such an adverse reaction to the advert? It showed a woman giving birth, after which the newborn shoots through a window, aging as he flies, then crashing into his own grave as an old man. Not quite as jaunty as a Target commercial. The tagline to the ad was "Life is short. Play more." Microsoft issued an apology for the spot, which became such a sore spot.
