The University of Michigan did a customer satisfaction survey of Web portals. AOL flunked with flying colors, scoring 59 out of a possible 100 points. Just think, if that were a test in school, AOL's parents would be notified and it would have to come back for Saturday class. AOL says the survey failed to take into account its online service, which it claims gets high marks from customers. But researchers say the big fat "F" in the portal study could be a symptom of even bigger problems. Yahoo, by the way, got the highest grade with 76. MSN scored a 72. The average score was 68. Those portals could have used a curve!
