I have noticed TSUs with service classes of BATCH and SYSSTC. I have noticed JOBs with classes of STCLO, ONLPRDMD, STCHI and TSOHI. Others include a STC running in TSOHI. Can you explain why this is occurring? I was under the impression that tasks were assigned to certain classes and that is where they should remain. >> CLICK for Steve's expert response: http://search390.techtarget.com/ateQuestionNResponse/0,289625,sid10_cid489334_tax285125,00.html =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= IBM INTEGRATES INFORMIX INTO DB2 | News: InfoWorld IBM said it plans to move more of the database technology it acquired from Informix back in 2001 into its own DB2 data management platform. We have a datacom database and COBOL programs to extract only certain fields, columns, etc. This flat file is sent to an Oracle database on a Unix server and loaded. The problem is that the extract criteria keeps changing and we have to keep changing these COBOL programs. I am thinking of a tool either on the mainframe or, if we send all the data down to Unix, a tool on that end so changes are much faster to make." Think you can help? "Joe" will ease your pain. Researchers in London found that a nice jolt of java raises blood pressure to a point where it kills pain. But there's a catch -- caffeine seems a little sexist. The study showed the painkilling prowess of coffee to be more profoundly pronounced in women. So while ladies self-medicate with Maxwell House, guys will just have to continue pulling their hair out.
