ARE H1B APPLICANTS BEING HIRED OVER AMERICANS? | by Rick Nashleanas

Dear Ask the Expert,
Are companies selecting H1B applicants over experienced American
applicants because they can pay the H1B applicants less? Also, are
there more IT applicants than job openings now? Finally, what part of
the country is best for IT consultants with mainframe experience and
updated skills?

THE MISSING LINK | Russian champ takes $700,000 of chess pie, two
mates

It's sister-kissing time in Bahrain. In the latest match between man
and machine, chess champ Vladimir Kramnik nearly made a chess chump
of "Deep Fritz." The two tied in the eighth and final match of the
"Brains in Bahrain" showdown. That means the entire series ends in a
draw. Kramnik could have taken home $1 million if he had deep fried
Deep Fritz. Instead he'll check out with a not too paltry $700,000.
ChessBase, the makers of Fritz, didn't exactly get rooked either; the
company will donate about $200,000 to charity.
