Submitting a DB2 query from a REXX environment
Search390 user "Davzik" posted the following in the Developer forum
and needs your help: "I need to submit a DB2 query from a REXX
environment that is more than 250 chars long. But I'm getting the
IRX0030I message from DSNREXX (launched from a batch TSO environment)
at the "prepare" of the DB2 statement. Is there some technique to
bypass that limit?"
Do you think you can help? If so, please post your suggestions. |

By all accounts, it is going to be a major build, with lots of new features for developers in all environments. One of its most significant features, however, will be the version 2.0 upgrade of the IBM HTTP Server (IHS) that will ship with it. IHS 2.0 is based on version 2.0.40 (or perhaps 2.0.41 -- IBM hasn't yet said) of the open source Apache Web server, which is itself a major redesign of that product. Among other things, Apache 2.0 boasts support for a revamped threading model -- dubbed "Thread-per-Request" -- that is said to facilitate increased performance with reduced memory requirements in Unix and Linux environments.
