THE MISSING LINK | Return to sender -- Two men stockpiling AOL CDs

Spam for your real mailbox -- the one outside your house -- is alive
and well. And a lot of it comes from AOL. The company's promotional
compact discs are more pervasive than Starbucks and J. Lo's
engagement rumors. Two IT guys from the outskirts of San Francisco
have decided enough is enough. They're working on a Boston Tea Party
of sorts, asking people to send them their AOL CDs. When they get one
million, they and their band of disc-dissing rebels plan to haul the
CDs to AOL's Virginia headquarters, ring the doorbell and pronounce
"You've got mail." They've got about 80,000 discs so far, and get
this, AOL says it will help put them over the top if they come up
short!
