Users will also get a personalized view with the WebFocus dashboard. Geac already has a similar partnership for reporting software with business intelligence vendor Cognos. IBM, BEA TAKE ROYALTY-FREE STANCE ON BPEL4WS| News: InfoWorld An IBM official on Wednesday pledged that the vendor will not seek royalties for its contributions to the BPEL4WS (Business Process Execution Language for Web Services) proposal. BEA Systems, a co-author of BPEL4WS, released a statement with a similar pledge shortly thereafter. SUN'S N1 STRATEGY TIED TO BLADE SERVERS, GRID COMPUTING | News: CRN Sun said it would roll out the first phase of its N1 architecture strategy early next year. N1 is Sun's vision of how widely distributed computing resources, including servers, storage, software and networking, can be virtualized and provisioned as a single system, rather than managed as separate systems.
