The CEO of antivirus firm Sophos has nailed down the demographic of your average Joe virus writer: he's a 14- to 34-year-old guy who's obsessed with computers, has no names in his "little black book" (if he even has one), and couldn't socialize his way out of a paper bag. But he knows how to make IT squirm. So maybe in addition to, say, a firewall, your security strategy should include something more organic -- like getting one of these lonely code monkeys a girlfriend.
