I am writing this column late at night. You see I have a lot of work to crank out before I can enjoy a four-day holiday weekend.
Do you find yourself working a lot at night? On weekends?
When I was a kid, I used to think everyone worked from 9 to 5 (probably because of that movie with that title. Remember that?) But after college, I realized that work is more than an eight hour a day proposition. Getting ahead requires putting in 12 or 14 hour days at times. I figured it out once that I have worked every hour of the day at least twice.
Obviously, putting in such hours can take away from having a personal life. But on the other hand, I swear the busier I am the more I can accomplish, both at work and at home. My father used to say "If you want something done, ask a busy man to do it."
I used to worry about work while at home and about personal matters while at work. Now, I try to strike a balance. When I'm at work, I will focus all my attention on getting newsletters out on time. Home is the place for working about whether I need to lose some weight or whether my car insurance payment was received in time.
Please let me know how you balance your work with other parts of your life. Click here to send me your ideas.

Added NOPASSWORD and NOOIDCARD to batch job UserIDs, making them PROTECTED. Will this stop any inactive (longer than 30 days) UserIDs from becoming REVOKED?
