My old jeep got a flat tire over the weekend.

I wasn't upset about it. My trusty car has served me well for over seven years and nearly 150,000 miles. An occasional flat tire is nothing.

Even though, my Wrangler has been good to me, I still have concerns about it. The brakes seem to be getting a little soft. Should I have them fixed? My windshield is pretty pitted. Maybe I should replace it?

I think CICS is similar to my jeep. Both have done right by their users but concerns still abound. What CICS issues are keeping you awake at night? Are you contemplating the Open Transaction Environment (OTE)? Have you upgraded to CICS TS V2.3? Are CICS tuning and performance major challenges for you?

As you may know, this year is the 35th anniversary of CICS. In September, Search390.com will do an unofficial theme month on CICS. I would like to know what CICS topics you would like to know more about.

If you let me know your concerns, you could win a CICS lover's pack featuring a "I love CICS" bumper stick and a "I love CICS" pin. I have a limited number of packs so be quick.

    >> A Search390.com user asked in our operating systems folder:

I use the ftp client thru the DOS window. When I pull my VB file from the MVS mainframe to my local PC I am able to pull it down binary with the RDW included. Once I have made my modifications I cannot get the file to ftp back to MVS properly, once it is ftp'd to MVS the RDW on the file is ignored and a new RDW is attached at the begining of my file. Any ideas?

Do you have an answer to the question? If so, post it here.
