XPERANTO--IBM'S OPEN SESAME FOR SERVERS | News: ZDNet

IBM gives developers a peek at data-access technology, intended for
use in its DB2 database server. The technology makes it easier to
search for data such as relational databases, XML documents, flat
files, spreadsheets and other sources of information as if they
were a single database.

Dear Ask the Expert,
I need an example code to update a trigger on RPG. I need to know how
to cancel the event (insert, update or delete) if an evaluation
condition fail. How can I alter the member in the physical file
using the SQL without OVRDBF command?

THE MISSING LINK | Oxford online: Will people pay?

Wanna see the definition of "expensive?" Check out
oxfordreference.com. Oxford University Press is putting its core
language and subject reference dictionaries online. You know, those
tall, thick, heavy books that come with a magnifier and have the
last word on words -- they're going on the Web. It's the future of
reference, but, with the apologies to Oxford's wordsmiths, it ain't
cheap. Yearly subscription fees will cost around $250 a year for
schools and anywhere from $395 to just under $3,000 for multiple-
user accounts like libraries.
