Today's Featured Tip

Stored procedures provide way to reuse RPG apps on the Web

Stored procedures offer a safe, portable, reliable way to build
application-to-application interfaces in many environments, including
e-business WebSphere applications on the iSeries. The IBM Stored
Procedure Builder makes it easy to generate new stored procedures.
And your existing batch and server applications can often be called
with no changes. What could be better?

Jim Mason and David Slater tell you what stored procedures are used
for, why they're preferred over other options, the benefits of the
various types of stored procedures and how to create Java and RPG
procedures. They also provide several examples of procedures built
using the Stored Procedure Builder.
