Special Training Offer: 50% off - C Programming
Regular Price $99 - Special Limited Time Discount $49.50
-----------------------------------------------------------------

This course addresses two major areas of C programming: pointers and
input/output. The majority of C Language programs use pointers. This
course teaches the techniques for working with pointers and functions
and performing input /output functions. It covers retrieving input
from the keyboard, the getch( ) function, the fundamentals of
performing multiple character input, and using scanf( ) to read
character strings from the keyboard. Two C library functions are
described that enable a program to transfer between one storage
location and another, and reformat the location in the process. Also
covered is writing C code to the standard DOS printer and how writing
to a printer differs from writing to a monitor. This course is not
written to a specific version.

LEAD STORY

THE STATE OF OS/400 USER GROUPS | News: The Four Hundred

Membership at local OS/400 user groups has mirrored local job
conditions. In one local group, meetings now attract about half
the people they did during Y2K, and those who do show up are often
looking to network to find jobs or they're vendors trying to sell
product -- two things that are taboo at most user groups around the
country.

THE MISSING LINK | Thinking cap or dunce's hat?

Here's one likely to get stuck in your mind. Two Australian
neuroscientists claim to have created an actual thinking cap. But
before you go killing brain cells in celebration, you might want to
consider the pros and cons. The device works by using magnetic
stimulation to temporarily shut down the left hemisphere of the
brain, where speech and short-term memory are supported. Talk about
brain drain! However, the designers believe the machine could
increase the creative function of the brain. Still, kindergartners
may want to think twice when their teacher suggests they put on their
thinking caps.
