Prior to that, he worked at TRW automotive products in Washington, Tyne and Wear, and as an iSeries 400 instructor at Sierra Training, also in London. He got his start in programming when he was 17 and working at Unilog, a software house in Paris. There he was trained on S/36 and S/38. He left Unilog after two years but continued working in France, using RPG/400, RPG/IV, SQL (including embedded) and OPNQRYF. Three years later he moved to the United Kingdom, where he currently works and lives. "Wherever I worked, I tried to complement my knowledge of the iSeries," Pascal says. "This enabled me to learn a lot about several subjects, not just programming but also performance and other system administration tasks."
