Time for a Java break
Java is a hot programming language designed for today's networked world. But why is it such a key piece of the application development strategy for the iSeries 400? What's going on with Java on the iSeries today and where it's going in the future?

>> Prevent the dreaded "dragged & dropped" in OpsNav
One user writes, "I am looking for a way to stop users from dragging a library (or file) and "dropping" it on top of the incorrect lib or file in OpsNav. Everyone I have discussed this with, including IBM, has stated that we must secure the iSeries 400 at object level. Unfortunately, we have millions of objects and this is impossible." Have any ideas to help this person out?

>> Which servlet is misbehaving?
This member wonders, when there is a misbehaved QSQSRVR job running as a result of a poorly composed Java JDBC call, can you see exactly which servlet is performing the SQL? What do you think? Enter the WebSphere & Web Development forum and share what you know.

Tip of the Week:
What was that PC5250 key, again?
While not as glamorous as a PC, dumb terminals are easier to understand. If you're looking for a particular key action to execute, you simply read the labels on the keys and press the key combination that you want. Determining key actions in PC5250 is more challenging. If you're searching for a particular PC5250 key function and you don't know where it is on your keyboard, there's a Find Key option inside PC5250 that lets you (somewhat) easily find the keystroke combination a particular terminal action is mapped to. Joe Hertvik shows you how to search out those keystroke combos you're looking for.
