QUERY'S COLLATING SEQUENCE | Tip: Search400

Chances are, you'll probably use query to create simple reports.
When you make selections upon character fields, query is case
sensitive. It is important to know if the contents of your
character fields are in uppercase or in lowercase. Learn how you
can tell in this tip submitted by Search400 member Wim van den
Heuvel.

FREE WHITE PAPERS | Search400

When it comes to researching hardware or software for your shop,
there's nothing like an independent review of the product to help
you decide whether it's right for you. And white papers often can
provide that outsider point of view. But finding those white
papers can be a hassle, so we've added a new section to the site
to help you out. We've gone out and found more than 200 white
papers, both from independent sources and vendors, and posted
them on Search400. No longer do you need to search the Web for
iSeries-specific papers -- they're all here.

THE MISSING LINK | Techie tokers are joint favorites

Is that the IT department or the set of a Cheech and Chong movie?
A survey in the U.K. shows that of the 72% of professionals who
admit being pot smokers, almost half work in IT. And you thought
the IT department took enough "hits" as it was! A firm called
TongueWag did the survey, and it has...um...lit a fire in some
circles. Researchers say the results "indicate that our
preconceptions about cannabis users can be biased." Translation?
Slackers, musicians, Cheech and Chong aren't the only ones
rolling 'em.
