When you submit a batch job, the job could generate a message and hold the other jobs in the job queue. That isn't a big problem when you can answer this message, but when the processing is done by night it could become quite annoying. When you check the jobs the next morning and find out the backup didn't run because a job submitted to the same job queue as the backup jobs generated a message and was not cancelled. Search400 member Wim van den Heuvel provides a way to prevent this from happening by using the system reply list. >> CLICK here to read the complete tip: http://search400.techtarget.com/tip/1,289483,sid3_gci843411,00.html =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- WORKING WITH UIM LIST PANELS | Advice: Search400 Dear Ask the Expert, Is there a way to get UIM list panels to accept character options? >> SEE application development expert John Brandt's response: http://search400.techtarget.com/ateQuestionNResponse/0,289625,sid3_cid481543_tax285217,00.html ________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________ IMPORTANT FEATURES AND LINKS: =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- EXPERT PROFILE | John Brandt, Search400 expert John Brandt is vice president of technical services at iStudio400.com, an IBM business partner. A dog from Florida is gone no more thanks to a piece of technology. Make no bones about it, though. Things were looking pretty bleak for Pooh Bear the Pomeranian, who strayed from home six years ago. A vet in Cincinnati -- 620 miles away -- found the pooch, scanned the microchip implanted in her skin when she was just a pup and returned the dog to her overjoyed owners. Remarkably, Pooh Bear's health hadn't gone to the dogs. They say every dog has its day, but this was one nobody thought would ever dawn.
