Building, deploying JSPs with WebSphere Studio Search400.com Web development expert Jim Mason shares his thoughts on IBM's WebsSphere Studio and VisualAge for Java. According to Jim, Studio's Page Designer is an easy tool to learn for visually building JSP pages quickly. Here you'll find some tips for both designing JSP pages and debugging runtime errors in the WebSphere Test Environment. http://search400.techtarget.com/tip/1,289483,sid3_gci761938,00.html 2. Will WebSphere standard work with WebFacing? "Chenzt" states, "As we all know, WebFacing can convert your DDS source to JSP or to Java beans. Can I use WebFacing and WebSphere standard version together or must I use the WebSphere advanced version?" Jim Mason offers some advice. http://search400.discussions.techtarget.com/WebX?[EMAIL PROTECTED]@.ee84637/484 3. Configure a servlet that invokes a test.jsp "RonShah" writes, "Can I configure a servlet that invokes a test.jsp, that invokes another servlet, that in turn invokes a test2.jsp? When I try to do this, I'm getting Error 404 from the JSP 1.0 processor. No other indication as to what the problem might be." Web development expert Jim Mason responds. http://search400.discussions.techtarget.com/WebX?[EMAIL PROTECTED]@.ee84637/452 4. WebFacing configuration issues PgmrBob would like to try WebFacing, but he's running into initial configuration problems. He has WAS 3.5 installed and running for other applications, and WASD 5.1 with WebFacing 5.1 installed with some DDS converted. When he runs the index page it serves it from his PC instead of from the server that he sees in examples. Web development expert Jim Mason was on hand in the WebSphere and Web development Forum to help him out. http://search400.discussions.techtarget.com/WebX?[EMAIL PROTECTED]@.ee84637/375 __________________________________________________________________ IMPORTANT FEATURES AND LINKS: =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS NOW | Search400 IT Excellence Awards We're on the lookout for medium- and large-scale companies that are blazing new trails in iSeries 400 computing.
