Answers to Other Administrator Questions
================================================================

1. Access WebSphere from multiple HTTP servers
Did you know you can access the WebSphere Application Server from
multiple HTTP servers running on the same or different iSeries
machines? That's something you may want to consider if you want to
isolate the compute-intensive resources of WebSphere Application
Server or if you want to isolate WebSphere resources from user
access for security reasons. E-business expert Bob Cancilla shows
you -- step by step -- how to do it.

2. Configuring the HTTP Server with WebSphere on the iSeries
One user writes, "I need to know how to configure the HTTP Server
with WebSphere on the iSeries. I have to undertake a project where I
have to configure WebSphere with Web Server HTTP) on the iSeries."
Search400.com expert John Brandt responds.

3. WebSphere Express to replace Tomcat bundled with HTTP Server
With the addition of WebSphere Express, a new version of WebSphere
for the iSeries, iSeries users will have a robust and sophisticated
environment to migrate existing applications to Java and develop new
applications. But more important is the possibility of IBM bundling
it with OS/400, which could lead to simplifying the operating
system, says Bob Cancilla. Read what else he has to say about this
newest WebSphere product.

4. With HTTP being discontinued should I move to WebSphere or Apache?
This member uses primarily IIS for his Web/iSeries integration.
However, he has a few applications using the iSeries HTTP server. He
states, "I know that HTTP is being discontinued, but I'm a little
confused if we should move these Net.Data applications to WebSphere
or Apache." Web development expert Jim Mason shares his thoughts.
