>> Need help with IBM 1130/1140 printer
Does anyone have an IBM 1130 or 1140 printer configured as an IPDS printer? This user says all his forms used with FormServer400 print great, including bar-coded forms. But if he sends an ordinary AS/400 spooled file, it prints off the page. Can you help?

>> Internal FTP timeout
"RonenMashal" uses FTP to transfer a save file to AS/400 and to run the command that restores the save file. However, the FTP server seems to close the connection after 60 seconds. If the system is too slow, the connection closes before he gets a completion message. He tried to change the FTP time-out from 300sec to 10000sec, using both CHGFTPA and "quote time 10000," but to no avail. Is it possible to change the 60-second time-out? Site expert Tim Granatir has a suggestion.

>> QRY held before printing
"Newbie25" asks, "Does anyone know how to submit a QRY and have it held until released to the printer?" "CLKelly" and "systemvalue" both have suggestions. Check them out.

Tip of the Week:
FTP tips you might not know about
FTP is a necessity when transferring files to and from the iSeries. This week site expert Tim Granatir provides a collection of miscellaneous FTP tips that address such subjects as the batch FTP process, logging FTP results to a file and getting to the Integrated File System. Check them out and see if there's anything you can add to your bag of tricks.
