Product comparisons just got easier with new Product & Vendor Guide

Are you looking for a single source to help you find iSeries products and resources? Take a look at Search400.com's new Product & Vendor Guide. It contains all of the solutions you need in one place.

This is very different from our previous buyers guide. Powered by Knowledgestorm, this new guide provides detailed information about each company's products. There is a report for each product, not just a general report for the vendor. So say you're looking for an enterprise retailing package, browse that category and you get descriptions for the various products. Click on a product that interests you, and you can a detailed report about it that includes pricing, case studies, training options and information to contact the vendor. Additionally, you can save reports in the My Research section so you can go back and compare products in detail at your convenience. Now you can do some serious product comparisons.

Note: On your first visit to the new Product & Vendor Guide, you will need to log in to get product reports. Your login information is the same as your login information for Search400.com. If your Search400.com profile is missing information, you will need to provide that. But once you're logged in, you shouldn't have to do so again.

The Search400.com Product & Vendor Guide is organized into the following categories:

This Week: In the forums
>> Question about disk upgrade
"Bresinj" is planning a disk upgrade, and he needs some advice. He has an 830 with seven partitions, and one partition has 23 17G drives. They are at 90% capacity. He would like to upgrade this partition with 36G drives. Has anyone done this? Are there any issues with this type of upgrade?

>> Problem WebFacing an application
Kathy Kelsey said she's trying to WebFace an application that has 14 DDS sources. When she tries to convert the entire app, it acts like it's converting each of the 14 DDS sources. But when it finishes (about four minutes later), the DSPF conversion log displays "none converted." What's going on? Web development expert Jim Mason has an idea.

>> Passing dates to a query
"Barbara34" has multiple users that go into their queries daily and change a date range in the Select Records option. She asked, "Is there a way to put all these queries in a program and pass the date range they want without them having to do this manually to each query?" She didn't have to wait long for help. "TSCHMITZ," "raymondo," "bird508," and "bmilburn" all had suggestions.
