LEAD STORY

IBM ADDRESSES OS/400 CERT ADVISORIES | Insider Weekly

In the past, it had been Rochester's practice to simply not address
CERT (or any other security) advisory at all -- even if OS/400 was
not affected. Now, because CERT has become an established and
trusted source in the industry, IBM has revised its policy and is
publicly addressing the affect that CERT security vulnerabilities
have on OS/400.

WORKING WITH BINARY LOOKUP | Forum advice: Search400.com

"Fschneider" writes, "I have never coded a table/array lookup that
uses a binary check, so I don't understand what is happening. I am
looking for a document that explains what is happening conceptually.
I did find a reference to a procedure that is in RPG IV ILE
environment, however some of the clients I work with are not at V5R1
to use this option. Is there a better way to increase this lookup
from 16 to 64? The current program is already coded for 16 and
without truly understanding, I don't want to copy and increase the
table." Do you know of a better way?

Dear Ken,
I'd like to know if there's a way to print the activity of all IP

MISSING LINK | Do you have a 'yahoo' in you?

Yahoo has a question for you: Do you yahoo? This isn't like in the
commercials, when the company asks whether people use its services;
Yahoo wants to know if you can fire up the falsetto and yodel
"yahoo" like you mean it. The company is holding yodeling auditions
in eight U.S. cities. The winner will appear in a Yahoo commercial
and take home $10,000, which would be cause for a more spontaneous
rendition of "yahoo." Only amateurs may compete -- if you're, like,
the Yoda of yodeling and own a pair of lederhosen to boot, forget
it. Wylie Gustafson, the original Yahoo yodeler, will host the
events, and hopefully he'll be nicer than that Simon guy from
"American Idol."
