SSA plans to go public

iSeries enterprise software giant SSA said after two years of acquisitions and a stable of software names that includes Baan, BPCS, Infinium, it's ready to go public.

i5 ships, but some models delayed

The Missing Link: Sony pen drops, drags

It could be the coolest pen since the Eraser Mate. One of Sony's researchers in Japan has developed a pen that can pick up a digital file from one computer and drop the file into another computer just by touching the pen to the screen -- e-mail, disks or shared filed servers not required. Just think of it as a pen that drags and drops. And it won't explode in your pants pocket.
