PeopleSoft revenue misses lowered targets
[CNET News.com]
As expected, PeopleSoft met lowered targets for earnings in the second quarter but fell short of revised revenue estimates. Earlier this month, the company blamed a hostile takeover bid from rival Oracle for the lackluster financial results.
Delay of Windows Server update, 64-bit OS may benefit Linux
[CNET News.com]
Microsoft has delayed release of an update to its Windows Server software as well as the first version of Windows to support 64-bit x86 chips. E-gads! Some have a stomach for spam
[USA Today]
This story could be disturbing to some readers. In fact, this would give Stephen King nightmares. Parental discretion is advised. Ready? Some people like spam! As unspeakable as the notion sounds to most of civilization, a survey of Yahoo Mail users revealed that 20% actually bought stuff from spammers. These spam feeders say they find good bargains in their little inbox of horrors. Evidently, one man's trash folder is another
man's treasure.
