In order to prevent additional delays and deliver Longhorn by 2006, Microsoft had to remove the new WinFS feature until 2007. Without WinFS, however, Longhorn won't hold much for server users.

Here's a German thief who may qualify as one of those thousand points -- or in this case, pixels -- of light. After the computer cad from Koblenz stole a laptop, the salesman gave chase. But the salesman should have stretched first -- he tripped on the sidewalk and broke his arm. Hearing his pursuer wail in pain, the thief halted, apologized and handed back the laptop before he took off again.
